Health Plans for Members
Members of The Clinicians Collective may apply for medical, vision, and dental insurance through large group health plans that are available to individual sole proprietors and their families. The medical plans have access to great doctors and hospitals AND HAVE OPEN ENROLLMENT YEAR ROUND. However, TCC Membership alone does not secure membership into the medical plans, which require a medical questionnaire before approval.
Non-members of The Clinicians Collective may learn more about the health plans that TCC members may apply to by contacting TCC Administrator, Alex at theclinicianscollective [at] gmail.com. We are more than happy to share information about plan specifics and rates with non-members. We can also consult with the brokerage regarding conditions and medication before you join The Clinicians Collective if you believe that you have a condition or medication which may preclude acceptance to the health plans. The plans we have access to are medically underwritten, which means members must answer a series of health questions during the enrollment process. Any major medical issues/history or surgeries within the last three years will unfortunately not be accepted.
There is no questionnaire for the dental and vision plans.
The Clinicians Collective membership fee is $65/year and covers access to our main HIPAA-moderated NYC Discussion listserv for referrals, workshops and area office opportunities as well as several other local listserv groups. The Clinicans Collective welcomes all clinicians, especially mental health professionals who would benefit from the referrals, workshops, and office opportunities in our HIPAA-moderated NYC Discussion listserv. Approximately one third of TCC Members are also members of the health plans that TCC Members may apply to.
