Dr. Alicia Webb Scott is a NY-state licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of The Clinicians Collective. She has a specialty practice devoted to psychological, educational, and neuropsychological assessment in NoMad.
She has held postdoctoral fellowship and faculty positions in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Columbia/New York Presbyterian Hospital, conducting evaluations, supervising trainees, consulting with clinical staff, and providing Grand Rounds and workshops to psychiatry fellows and pediatricians. She did her doctoral training with Philip Kendall, Ph.D., a leader in the field of the clinical diagnosis and cognitive behavioral treatment of childhood anxiety.
She has co-authored treatment manuals, book chapters, and numerous scientific journal articles on diagnostic assessment and treatment. In keeping with her foundational clinical research background, Dr. Webb Scott continues to follow the guidelines of the scientific and professional literature to inform all of her practices, from the selection and interpretation of assessment tools to the provision of referrals for supports and interventions.
Dr. Webb Scott chose to specialize in the area of assessment given a passion for the detective work of disentangling the various factors that help and hinder a young person in their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning in order to guide planning. She is particularly adept at engaging youth in order to minimize anxious and resistant behaviors and to elicit their most representative performances.
